All information made available for use at the participant portal is to be treated confidentially. Data may only be forwarded to third parties with the explicit consent of the respective originator or rights holder. Accessing the ACOnet portal from insecure devices is strongly advised against. Particularly access from "Internet cafes", public kiosks, other people's computers (or accounts) or any other devices should be avoided, as even after ending the ACOnet portal's use there remains a risk of exposing the portal to unauthorized access. The account owner shall be solely responsible for any misuse of her data and that of the respective participating organization(s) that may result from accessing the ACOnet portal from such devices. The account owner is obliged to inform the webmaster of any possible breach of security / rights immediately and under no circumstances to take advantage of these. Furthermore, should the account owner have any suspicion that his or her own, or another account has been misused or breached, he/she should contact the webmaster. All organizational changes which result in the diminuition or termination of access rights granted to a given account require the account owner to contact the webmaster without hesitation. The account owner must be aware that a (partial) closure of this account can result without warning, if suspicions arise regarding the misuse of the account, or at the request of an authorized person from the respective participating organization.
