Name Services

ACOnet provides the following name services to its participating organizations, usually without additional costs:

• Recursive Name Servers
  ACOnet provides recursive name servers for those participants who do not operate their own DNS service.
  
  
• DNS ACOslave
  Organizations which operate their own DNS, but need an external name server for redundancy reasons, may use the ACOslave service.
  
  
• DNS ACOmaster
  ACOnet also provides the possibility to administrate the participant's entire DNS as an external service but within ACOnet.
  
  

In cooperation with GovCert, ACOnet provides another DNS service exclusively for GovIX participants: GovDNS.
