On July 17, 2015 a test run for eduroam was started for a joint use of the "StadtWien-PublicWiFi" infrastructure. Initially eduroam is available at the "Donauinsel" (Danube Island) and subsequently also in the city center. In Vienna, eduroam will therefore not only be accessible at ACOnet participants.
