GÉANT TNC17 Conference in Linz

"The Networking Conference" (TNC) is the leading networking conference for research and education in Europe. It is annually organised by GÉANT, the umbrella organization of Europe's national research and education networks (NRENs).

TNC17 was held from 29 May, 2017 - 2 June, 2017 at Design Center Linz and hosted by ACOnet, the Austrian Academic Computer Network.

TNC17 in figures

  • 721 participants from 69 countries
  • 2485 livestream views from 40 countries
  • 124 speakers and session chairs
  • 24 sessions and 5 plenary sessions
  • 33 side events (workshops, meetings, etc.)
  • 30+ lightning talks (6 of these from students)
  • 824 simultaneously connected WiFi clients (incl. eduroam)
  • 30 Gbps bandwidth used
